The Institute for Theoretical Particle Physics and Cosmology at the RWTH Aachen University invites applications for several postdoctoral positions in theoretical particle physics (at the salary level E13 TVL). The appointment is for two years starting in fall 2019, and may be extended for one more year. The Institute for Theoretical Particle Physics and Cosmology consists of Profs. Michal Czakon, Robert Harlander, Felix Kahlhoefer, Michael Krämer, Julien Lesgourgues and Philipp Mertsch, staff members Dr. Alexander Mück, Priv.-Doz. Dr. Christian Schwinn and Priv.-Doz. Dr. Malgorzata Worek, and several postdoctoral fellows, PhD and Master students. The interests of the group include a wide range of topics in particle and astroparticle physics phenomenology, field theory, and cosmology. The institute is part of the DFG funded collaborative research units “New physics at the Large Hadron Collider” and “The Epistemology of the Large Hadron Collider”, and there are close links with the experimental (astro-)particle physics groups at the RWTH Aachen. Further information can be found here: http://www.particle-theory.rwth-aachen.de/go/id/fywf/?lidx=1 Profs. Czakon, Harlander, Kahlhoefer, Krämer, and Priv.-Doz. Dr. Worek invite applications for several postdoctoral positions in LHC phenomenology, higher-order perturbative calculations, top- and Higgs physics, physics beyond the Standard Model, or the phenomenology of dark matter. Applicants should provide a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and a brief description of their research interests (in a single pdf file). Applications should be sent to the email address ttkpostdoc@physik.rwth-aachen.de before December 10, 2018. In addition, the applicant should arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent to the same address. RWTH Aachen University and the Institute for Theoretical Particle Physics and Cosmology are actively committed to equal opportunity and seek to increase the number of women in research and teaching. Qualified female researchers are therefore strongly encouraged to apply.
