The Division of Theoretical Physics of the Rudjer Bošković Institute in Zagreb invites applications for a PhD position in the Quantum Gravity and Mathematical Physics Group.

The position is financed by the Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ), with starting date no later than the 1st of November 2018 and a duration of 4 years. The successful PhD candidate will work on topics related to string theory, generalized geometry and non-commutative geometry under the supervision of Dr. Athanasios Chatzistavrakidis. Doctoral students are required to enroll in doctoral studies in theoretical high energy physics.
The official opening for applications will be in the beginning of June, but interested candidates are strongly advised to express their interest earlier. Eligible candidates must hold an academic degree that grants access to the PhD program at the time of the application. For candidates with a degree outside Croatia, the official application requires a procedure for professional recognition of foreign higher education qualification through the Croatian Agency for Science and Higher Education (https://www.azvo.hr/en/enic-naric-office/guidelines-for-starting-the-procedure-for-professional-recognition-of-foreign-heq).
