We are opening three two-year Research Associate (Postdoc) positions in the Theoretical Particle Physics and Cosmology (TPPC) Group of the Department of Physics at King's College London: see http://inspirehep.net/record/1634785 One postdoctoral position is funded by the group's STFC Grant to carry out research on particle astrophysics and cosmology, including both theoretical model building and phenomenological consequences, particularly concerning models of dark matter and inflation. The other two positions are funded by the ERC Grant of Malcolm Fairbairn to carry out research in a number of areas including Dark Matter particle phenomenology beyond the Standard Model and the behaviour of the electroweak sector in the early Universe. We will also be receptive if you are doing research into astrophysical probes of dark matter of all kinds including galactic structure. We are particularly interested in those who are open to interacting with TPPC group members working on particle physics beyond the Standard Model, particle astrophysics, gravitational physics and applications of theoretical physics. Senior members of the TPPC Group include Bobby Acharya, Jean Alexandre, Diego Blas (from February 2018), John Ellis, Malcolm Fairbairn, Eugene Lim, Nick Mavromatos, Chris McCabe, Mairi Sakellariadou, Sarben Sarkar and Helvi Witek. The deadline for applications is midnight UK time on 6th December 2017, and interviews are scheduled to be held in the week starting 11th December 2017. For an informal discussion to find out more about the role please contact either Prof. Malcolm Fairbairn (malcolm.fairbairn@kcl.ac.uk) or Prof. John Ellis (john.ellis@cern.ch) How To Apply To fulfil the criteria of our HR department you will have to apply through the portal https://www.hirewire.co.uk/HE/1061247/MS_JobDetails.aspx?JobID=78196 However, it would also be useful if you could send a copy of your normal application documents (CV, generic research proposal/research interests) and arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent to tppc-applications@kcl.ac.uk King's College London is an equal opportunities employer
