Seminars to high school teachers

Corfu, 1-15/9/2001, during the "Corfu Summer Institute on Elementary Particle Physics" (Corfu 1-20/9/2001).
Six seminars:
Historical notes on Elementary Particle Physics (EPP),
Experimental EPP,
Theoretical EPP,
Special Relativity,
Cosmology and
Strings
(already done).

Delphi, 21/9/2001, during the "DELPHI Meeting" (17-26/9/2001).
Two seminars:
Theoretical EPP and
Experimental EPP.
Projection of theCERN video "The ATLAS Experiment"
(already done).

Future one- (or two-) day seminars to several cities around Greece (5-10 in total). We have already applications from 3 cities.

Exhibitions of Physics Experiments.

Chios, 1-4/11/2001, during the Annual Meeting of the Hellenic Physicsl Society
(already done).

Future exhibitions could be organised in parallel with the seminars.

Open Doors

We have proposed to the Heads of Physics Departments of the Greek Universities to organise "Open Doors". The Ioannina University department has already accepted.

Translation of popular Physics videos ...

...and send them, for free, to all Greek high Schools.

New edition of the CD on Elementary Particle Physics.

The first version was issued in 1999 and has been sent, for free, to all Greek high Schools.

Excursion with high school students

We are planning to organise an excursion with high school students, like the one we have already done, very successfully, last year, when we measured -using laser beams- distances and altitudes on the mountains.

Theatrical show

We are looking at the possibility of "producing" a theatrical show
